First time needing a storage unit and Sherri and her team helped us right away! They were friendly, kind and caring when doing the application, walking us through the building, and showing us our unit! The storage facility was very clean, well-lit and felt very secure during the days/nights! Thankful for their promotion of a free 4 weeks! During that time we used the space, used the trolleys they provided—so helpful, and we emptied the unit before the next billing cycle so no need to pay for more than we need! The ladies often checked in with us when they walked by and wished us well when we left. 10/10 stars would use again :)

I went to pay a late storage fee, called up Sentinel Storage at the Quadra main office stressed about my late fee. But when I met Sherri and Jen It didn't feel as stressed. They both work together I noticed, had a happy atmosphere and they helped me figure out my situation better. The have great service and employees. Thank you for helping me and making the drive over less stressful. I only had cash with me and Sherri did me a much appreciated favor. She help pay for my late fee without me having to come back. They only except debit and I got stressed but she helped me. Thankfully!

I rented a storage unit for three years at the Sentinel storage facility on Quadra Street in Victoria. It is a very clean, well-run facility. Sherrie, the front desk manager, is a wonderful ambassador for the company. She is knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and does a great job. Many times while I was organizing things in my unit, Sherrie would come walking past, checking that things are as they should be, always with a smile and some friendly words.
Moving out was very straightforward: empty the space, and leave the rolling door up. Because one pays in advance for the coming four weeks, as long as one vacates before the next billing cycle, that action ends the contract. Of course, I received an email from Sherrie thanking me for my business and enclosing a copy of the contract closure. I would recommend this storage facility to anyone who wants a safe, secure, clean, temperature controlled storage unit, in a part of town that feels safe not only during the day, but in the evening as well.

The whole experience was great! I have never used any storage facility before, and Sentinel was awesome! The check in and walk through was clear and straight forward. Easy after hour access to my unit and overall a very clean area.
I got the "4 weeks for free" promotion, and if it weren't for the regular price being a little too high. I would have kept using the unit. As a student I cannot afford the monthly rate.
Regardless, if I had the money, I would 100% use Sentinel again!

Notwithstanding the generally excellent comments that you'll see in many of the reviews here, I've had pretty lousy customer service experiences here.
That said, I had some of my issues addressed by Jenn, the Regional Manager, after she found out that I was a disgruntled client, and I am appreciative of that.
PROS:
- clean facility
- well kept units
- upgrades to accessing units, security
CONS:
- confusing invoices
- confusing promotions
- more than occasionally "meh" customer service
- and although maybe minor in the grand scheme of things, the dollys provided are loud as heck!
Bottom line: read everything, question everything, and keep an eye on your invoices and credit card charges. The rest of the experience is good.
Would I rent another unit from them again? I'm honestly not sure. Maybe.
